The gauntlet has been thrown….

It is high time that someone start setting some of these teams straight…so, from now on, I will be issuing weekly challenges.
- UCLA, No one thinks you stand a chance against Oregon. How about you prove them wrong? How about you double their score? I dare you.
- Northwestern, THIS is your week to prove your 5-1 record is not a fluke. You are hereby challenged to beat Michigan State without going into overtime.
- Penn State, Minnesota…..I challenge one of you to win this weekend. (PS….they play each other so hopefully this isn’t too far out of reach)
- Duke, your mission is to allow Virginia Tech to hand you the biggest loss in school history.
- Wyoming, PLEASE prove you can win a conference game. I’m begging!
- Auburn, I hate to ask you win more, but this weekend you must destroy LSU and prove that their record is strictly a result of good luck. Seriously, Les has probably won the lottery five times already this season.
- Washington State, how about you try to score more than 30 points?
- Colorado State, are you really going to let Utah beat you this weekend? Make this most of your last shot at them before they skip over to the PAC. Prove to us you can beat them.
- Tennessee, the current embarrassment of the SEC, you are challenged to give Bama a game. And, also, to not whine if you can’t.
- Air Force, if you want any respect, you WILL beat TCU this weekend. We all know you can!

and Florida, I challenge you to actually practice on your week off. Meyer, stop letting Adazzio play Russian Roulette with offensive play-calling. watch some film of your own team on your week off, and improve your execution. reduce options. keep it simple. when you have the fastest players in college football, it shouldn’t matter who you’re playing and what defensive schemes are being used. here’s an idea for a play. hike it (c’mon Pouncey, you can do it) to Brantley under center and let Brantley make a quick throw to Debose who just dusted his coverage on a simple wide out. On the next play, do it it again. Oh wait, that’s exactly what we did on the 2-minute drill against MSU last week? Yep, and we drove 80 yards in 45 seconds. KEEP DOING THAT. and don’t let our punter go near a field goal attempt ever again.

Well dang! I kinda wanted to say “Florida, try to remember how to play,” but I thought I should let the boys off easy this week. Thanks for sticking it to them for me!
